Mrs. Arthur F. Thiel, 74, who resided with her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and
Mrs. Ray Pabian, 1402 Nagel Ave., Manitowoc, died Tuesday at Memorial Hospital,
Manitowoc. Funeral services will be at First Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. The
Rev. George Knudson will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery,
Manitowoc.

Mrs. Thiel, the former Wanda Schnell, was born April 16, 1894, in the town of
Liberty, daughter of the late Louis and Alvina Cahn Schnell, and was married
Nov. 8, 1913, a Liberty. The couple settled at Pine River and operated a cheese
factory, later farmed and then came to Manitowoc. She belonged to the Ladies
Aid. Her husband died in 1961.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Lester Persohn of Milwaukee and Mrs.
Pabian; a sister, Mrs. Orley Halverson of Milwaukee and three grandchildren.
Two brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.
