Roger A. Terens, age 63, of 908 Rainbow Court, Two Rivers, died Sunday,
July 11, 1999, at Bellin Hospital, Green Bay.
Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, July 15, 1999, at
the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home, Manitowoc, and 10 a.m. at St. Mary
Catholic Church. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev.
Roman Zbieranski O.F.M. with burial at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
He was born November 9, 1935, in Manitowoc, son of the late Arthur and
Clara Gollata Terens. Roger was a graduate of Lincoln High School with
the class of 1953. At a young age he worked with his father and uncle in
home construction perfecting the craft with Art Terens Home Building. In
1955, he became involved with the Local Union #731 where he worked on
construction locally until 1981 when he retired. He married Faye Luebke
on December 14, 1973, at Ludington, Mich. Roger was a member of St.
Mark's Catholic Church, Two Rivers, the Local Union #731, he was the
oldest active member of AA Manitowoc County Chapter and former Board of
Director of Alano Society. He was an avid reader and enjoyed sharing his
insight and knowledge with family and friends. He was also active with
gardening and home improvements.
Survivors include his wife, Faye; eight children to include Randolph A.
and Sarlie Terens, Manitowoc, Kim Marie and Arthur McNeil, Anderson,
S.C., Nicholas A Terens, Manitowoc, Jan A. and Marie Terens, Hopkins,
S.C., Julie Terens Allison,, Columbia. S.C., Daniel L. Terens,
Manitowoc, Rosemarie Carpenter, Two Rivers, Amy Jo Terens and special
friend, Chad Wolvin, Two Rivers; six grandchildren; five
great-grandchildren; his mother-in-law, Mrs. Violet Luebke, Manitowoc;
one brother and sister-in-law, John and Tracy Terens, Manitowoc; six
sisters and three brothers-in-law, Diane and Emil Cisler, Manitowoc,
Nancy and Chas Rezachek, Manitowoc, Patricia and Leibert Chizek, Newton,
Karen and Dennis Parodish, Manitowoc, Iris Jagodensky, Manitowoc, Gloria
R. Thompson, Manitowoc; previous wife, Dona August, Columbia, S.C.;
along with neices, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded
in death by his parents; one sister, one son, Christopher Eugene Terens;
one granddaughter, Katie Marie Erwin; one grandson, Nathan A. Terens;
and one son-in-law, Oscar Allison, Jr.
Friends may call at Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 5-8
p.m. Wednesday. There will be a prayer service held at 7 p.m. Wednesday
evening led by Deacon Robert Drobka.
The Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home, Manitowoc is assisting the Terens
family with funeral arrangements.
