JAMES C. TENNANT

James C. Tennant, age 71, of 105 N. 41st St., Manitowoc, died Saturday,
February 7, 1998, at Holy family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc.
Funeral Services will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, February 9, 1998 (TONIGHT)
at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home, with Rev. Jay Smoke officiating. Cremation
will follow, with burial of his cremains at Evergreen Cemetery.
He was born on November 24, 1926, in Saulte St. Marie, Mich., son of the late
George and Mary Kitchen Tennant. Jim served in the United States Army during
World War II. He married Joyce M. Skrepenski on April 9, 1957, in Iron Mountain,
Mich., and moved to Manitowoc in 1957. Joyce preceded him in death on April 9,
1987. Jim was employed most of his life at the C&O Carferries out of Ludington,
Mich., until his retirement in 1985. He was a member of the Manitowoc AmVets
Post #99 and the Manitowoc Fish and Game.
Survivors include three sons, William (Lori) Tennant, James Tennant Jr., and
Daniel Tennant, all of Manitowoc; one daughter, Sandra Fischer, Manitowoc; seven
grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Georgia
(Norman) Grevie, St. Ignace, Mich., and Mary Ellen (William) Bockelman, Houghton,
Mich.; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded
in death by his wife, Joyce, and one brother, William.
Friends may call at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home on Monday (TONIGHT) from
4:00 p.m. until the time of services at 7:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, Memorials would be appreciated.
