William C. Temme Sr., 85, of 3308 Menasha Ave., Manitowoc, dded (sic) unexpectedly Monday morning, May 6, at Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Urbanek and Schlei Pfeffer and Reinbold Funeral Home, Manitowoc. The Rev. Daniel J. Felton will officiate and burial will be n (sic) Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Temme was born July 14, 1899, at Milwaukee, son of the late Frederick and Elizabeth Wagner Temme. He grew up in Kiel and then owned and operated Temme's Used Car and Salvage Company in Kiel, prior to moving to Manitowoc in 1937. He married Dorothy M. Husting, April 5, 1926, in Sheboygan. They just celebrated their 59th Wedding Anniversary. Mr. Temme was employed in Sales at Bouril Auto and Sears Roebuck and Company and during World War II was employed at Burger Boat company. In 1946 he owned Temme Sales and Service which he owned and operated for 34 years, retiring in 1980.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy, three sons and two daughters-in-law, Donald F. Temme of Appleton, Roger D. and Arloene Temme of Manitowoc and Gene P. and Virginaia Temme of Manitowoc; two daughters and sons-in-law, Dorothy E. and Frederick Voss of Manitowoc and Ardith M. and Roy L. Novak of Manitowoc, 15 grandchildren and three great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by a son, William T. Jr. Sept. 11, 1973 and two brothers and a sister.
Friends may call at Urbanek and Schhei (sic) Pfeffer and Reinbold Funeral Home, Manitowoc, 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday and after 8:30 a.m. Wednesday until the time of services.
