George A. Teesch, 82, of 1210 Manila St., Manitowoc, died Tuesday evening, Oct. 2, at Manitowoc Health Care Center. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc. The Rev. Arno J. Wolfgramm will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Teesch, was born Feb. 22, 1902, in the Town of Cato, son of the late August and Bertha Ott Teesch. He resided in Manitowoc County all his life. He married Marie Kreie, Oct. 29, 1927, at Manitowoc. Mr. Teesch was a member of First German Evangelical Lutheran Church and had been employed by the Street Department in the City of Manitowoc for 41 years, retiring in 1967 as Supervisor of Public Works.
Survivors include his wife, Marie; a son and daughter-in-law, Don and Dorothy Teesch of Delavan, Wis; a sister, Mrs. Olga Kretsch of Manitowoc and three grandchildren, Lori, Mike and Lynn Teesch. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Elmer and Roland.
There will be no Thursday evening visitation at Pfeffer Funeral Home. Friends may call at the funeral home after 9 a.m. Friday until the time of services.
