ERNIE TAITE DIES SUDDENLY IN THE EAST
Former Manitowoc Man to Be Brought Here for Burial
Ernest Clark Taite, familiarly known by his many friends during his residence
in this city as "Ernie" died suddenly at his home at Yonkers, New York at 4
o'clock yesterday afternoon. The exact cause of death is not known as no details
have been received, the message to the parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert A. Taite,
here conveying only information of the death. The body will be brought here for
burial.
Left Here Ten Years Ago
Mr. Taite, who left here about twelve years ago to make his home at Chicago and
ten years ago took up his home in the East, had undergone a serious operation
last summer and had spent three months in the White Mountains recuperating. He
had returned to his position as layout man in the print shop where he was employed
and according to reports received here was doing well. News of the death yesterday
came as a severe shock to the family and friends.
Born at Platteville, Nebraska, November 3, 1887. Ernest Taite was thirty-eight
years old. He came to this city with his parents in 1901 and completed his education
in the local public high school. He became interested in the printing industry and
for a time was associated with his father in the conduct of a private printing plant.
Later he took up linotype operation at the Brooklyn school and returned to the city
to be employed by the Herald.
Married Local Girl
He was married to Miss Lillian Schultz in this city April 15, 1911 and the couple
made their home here for three years before taking up their home at Chicago and
later in the East. Both were popular in the younger society circles. Surviving Mr.
Taite are his widow, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert A. Taite and two sisters,
Miss Jennie of this city and Mrs. Florence McLennan of Baltimore, Md.

Funeral of Ernie Taite Held Saturday
The Body of Ernie Taite whose sudden death in New York came as a great shock to
family and friends here, will arrive in the city tomorrow night and funeral services
will be held Saturday morning at 10:45 from St. James Episcopal church, the Rev. B.O.
Reynolds officiating. Requiem Eucharist and burial offices will be said. The body is
accompanied from New York by Mrs. Taite.

WIFE UNABLE TO ACCOMPANY TAITE BODY
Word received this morning advised that Mrs. Ernest Taite, owing to a sudden and s
evere attack of illness, would be unable to accompany the body of her husband to this
city. Mrs. Taite, who collapsed as she was about to take a train for this city, is
under the care of a physician. The funeral will be held tomorrow morning from St.
James Episcopal church as announced yesterday. Mrs. Taite is expected to arrive here
as soon as she is again able to undertake the journey. The body of Mr. Taite will arrive
here this evening.

E.C. Taite Claims Bride
Herald Employee Weds Miss Lillian Schultz in Early Ceremony
If a bright wedding morning is a promise of a life of happiness, then the future
holds much for Ernest Clarke Taite and Miss Lillian Bertha Schultz, well known
young people, whose marriage was celebrated at St. James Church at 6 o'clock this
morning. Rev. Fr. Oliphant, rector of the church, officiated at the ceremony. A
nuptial Eucharist was celebrated in the presence of a small gathering of relatives
of the couple. Miss Adeline Pickard and William D. Nelson were attendants. After
the ceremony the bridal party repaired to the home of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Clemens
where a wedding breakfast was served and Mr. Taite and bride departed at 8 for
Chicago and a trip south.
Mr. Taite and his bride are both well known young people whose friends are legion.
Miss Schultz is a daughter of Ferd Schultz and a young lady possessed of charms of
mind and person which have attracted to her a host of admiring, sincere friends.
She attended the local schools and later for some time past, has held a position
in the offices of the O. Torrison Co. Mr. Taite, a son of R.A. Taite, is an employee
of the Herald Press Publishing Co, as a linotype operator, who possesses the
qualifications to advance in his profession. Mr. Taite came here with his parents
some years ago and has won a large circle of friends, who will tender congratulations
to the young couple.
Mr. and Mrs. Taite will spend several days on a honeymoon trip and will return here
next week to take up their residence and for the present will make their home with Mr.
Taite's parents. The Herald joins with a host of friends in bespeaking for the couple
a bright and happy future.
