Frank T. Swoboda, 74, of 3001 Meadow Ln., Manitowoc, died Saturday afternoon
at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc.
The Very Rev. Clement P. Kern will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen
Cemetery.
Mr. Swoboda was born July 3, 1893, at Ironwood, Mich., son of the late Joseph
and Emily Kostechka Swoboda. He came to Manitowoc in 1915 and married Amanda
Schandeberg July 1, 1942, at Dubuque, Iowa.
He was a foreman for many years in the marine division of Manitowoc Ship
building Inc., and in 1957 retired from the company.
He is survived by his wife, two step-sons, Lee Melville of Waukesha and Edwin
Kumer of Manitowoc; a step-daughter, Mrs. Harold Shimek of Rt. 1, Manitowoc;
two brothers, George and Joseph of Manitowoc; four sisters, Mrs. Anna Wallace
of Green Bay, Mrs. John Vnuk of Los Angeles, Calif., Mrs. George Bulgrin of
Buffalo, N.Y., and Mrs. Al Budnik of Manitowoc; eight grandchildren and 16
great grandchildren.
Friends may call at the funeral home where at 7 o’clock this Monday evening the
Rosary will be recited.
