Henry E. Sturgell, 58, of 1413 Clark St., Manitowoc, died unexpectedly at home
Saturday afternoon. He had a heart attack.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Wesley Methodist Church,
Manitowoc. The Rev. Donald T. Stannard will officiate and burial will be in
Evergreen Cemetery.
Mr. Sturgell was born Jan. 19, 1908, at Ashland, Ky., son of the late Joseph
and Mona Grace Sturgell. He married Jean Grode Dec. 21, 1939, at Terra Haute
Ind., and the couple lived until 1945 at Milwaukee, then coming to Manitowoc.
He owned and operated Sturgell Roofing Co. at 420 N. 10th St., Manitowoc. Mr.
Sturgell was a member of the Knights of Pythias and Manitowoc Kiwanis Club.
Mrs. Sturgell died in October of 1965.
Surviving him are a brother, Joseph Sturgell, of Indianapolis, Ind., and two
sisters, Mrs. Beulah Sherrill, of Montezuma, Ind., and Mrs. Opal Little, of
Clinton, Ind.
Friends may call at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc, until 10 a.m.
Tuesday when the casket will be moved to the church where the body will lie
in state until time of service.
