IRENE STUEBS

Mrs. Eric (Irene) Stuebs(sic), 78, formerly of Manitowoc, died Thursday morning,
December 31, 1987 at Vallhaven Care Center, Neenah, Wisconsin. Funeral services
will be 1:30 pm Saturday at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. The
Rev. Keith Haag will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Mrs. Stuebs was born May 16, 1909 at Two Rivers, Wisconsin, daughter of the late
George and Loisa Hagen Hoffman. She grew up and was educated in Two Rivers,
Wisconsin and lived in various parts of Manitowoc County and moving from Maribel,
Wisconsin area to Manitowoc in1950. Then she moved to Lovelock, Nevada in 1979.
Mrs. Stuebs worked at Holy Family Medical Center, Memorial Hospital and the
Manitowoc Health Care Center as a Nurses' Aide, retiring in 1974. She was married
to Eric Stuebs April 20, 1927 at Menominee, Michigan. He preceded her in death
March 14, 1978(sic). Mrs. Stuebs enjoyed traveling and traveled throughout the
world in later years. She was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church,
Manitowoc.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Harlan and Faye Stuebs of Chino
Valley, Arizona; three daughters and sons-in-law, Carol and Donald Schumacher
of Hartford, Wisconsin, Sharon and George Raleigh of Neenah, Wisconsin and Nancy
and Keith Hemp of Lovelock, Nevada; a brother-in-law, Lester Sinkler of Two Rivers;
five sisters-in-law, Helen Hoffman of Glenwood city, Wisconsin, Irene Hoffman of
Two rivers, Lorraine Hoffman of Two rivers, Minnie Hoffman of Two Rivers and
Josephine Hoffman of Manitowoc; 20 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; nieces,
nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by a grandson,
Tracy Hemp; a great granddaughter, Tiffany Heidermann, five brothers and a
sister.
Friends may call at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, from noon on Saturday until
the time of services. There will be no Friday evening visitation at Reinbold
Pfeffer Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc. In lieu of flowers, memorials
may be made to donor's choice.
