OTTO STROUF
Otto F. Strouf, 88, of St. Mary's Home, Manitowoc, formerly of 1973 Nagle Avenue,
Manitowoc, died Tuesday evening, October 18, 1988, at St. Mary's Home.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and
11 a.m. at Holy Innocents Catholic Church. The Mass of Christian Burial will be
celebrated by Rev. Leo J. Schmitt and Father Thomas Wojeiechowski with burial to
follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Strouf was born October 21, 1899, in the Town of Gibson, Manitowoc County,
son of the late Frank and Beulah Maresh Strouf. Mr. Strouf farmed in the Town of
Gibson, Manitowoc County, on the home farm until 1953 when he then moved to Nagle
Avenue, Manitowoc, at which time he was employed as a carpenter with Burger Boat
Company until his retirement. He married the former Mary Novachek on April 12,
1921, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Mishicot. Mr. Strouf was a member of Holy
Innocents Catholic Church, Manitowoc.
Survivors include his wife, Mary; a son and daughter-in-law, Arnold and Cecilia
Strouf of Manitowoc; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Lucille and Harry
Raisleger of Mishicot, Evelyn Madigan of Milwaukee and Marie and Herbert Kohlbeck
of Reif Mills; a brother and sister-in-law, Norman and Anna Strouf of Kellnersville;
12 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and
friends survive. He was preceded in death by a brother and three sisters.
Friends may call at Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home, Manitowoc, 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Thursday. Prayer Service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday evening.
