Grace, 95, died Friday at Care Center South in Winterset. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday the 21st at the United Methodist Church in Adel. Burial will be in the Oakdale Cemetery at Adel.
Grace was born on May 8, 1919, at Laural, Iowa to Wallace and Cora (Smitherman) Hauser. She was married to Albert Kenneth Strand. She had lived in Grinnell and Adel most of her life.
Grace is survived by her son, Steve (Midge) Strand and daughter, Sue (Brad) Wiley; brother, Lee (Bernice) Hauser; sister, Joanne (Jerry) Hemphill; seven grandchildren; and eleven great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Charles (Chuck) Strand; two brothers; and one sister.
Visitation will be Monday from 2 to 7 PM at McCalley Funeral Home with family receiving friends from 5 to 7 PM. Memorials may be directed to her family for a future designation.
