| Birth: | Jan. 30, 1836 | | Death: | Sep. 20, 1903 |  Mrs. Abner Storms, venerable mother of Daniel E. Storms, secretary of state, passed peacefully away at her late home in Stockwell at 11:00, this morning after a lingering illness with Bright’s disease. Deceased was born 67 years ago in Jefferson, Clinton county, and has lived in Stockwell for over 50 years. She was a life-long member of the Methodist church. Besides a husband she leaves the following children: Mrs. Dr. Campbell, of West Point; Mrs. Alice Sanders, of Indianapolis; John S. Storms, of Lauramie township; Mrs. Howard Lucas, of Sheffield township; Mrs. Louis Davidson, of Stockwell; Mrs. Markwood Slather, of Benton county; Peter Storms, of Stockwell, and Daniel W. Storms, of Indianapolis. The latter is now in Salt Lake City, Utah, and the funeral arrangements will not be made until he is heard from. The funeral of Mrs. Abner Storms will be conducted at the Methodist church Stockwell, Friday morning at 10:00, Rev. J. A. Sherill of Clarks Hill will officiate the service.
