James A. Storms, for many years a well known citizen of Lafayette, died at the Soldiers’ home yesterday morning at 4 o’clock of neuralgia of the heart. He was born in Kentucky on April 26, 1844 and enlisted in Co. F, 70th Indiana Infantry in 1862. At the close of the war Mr. Storms came to Lafayette to make his home. For a number of years he had charge of the Big Four pumping station at the foot of south street. He had been a member of the home since July 22, 1905, and served as policeman there. Mr. Storms was a democrat and was for several years democratic committeeman. He was a man of pleasing personality and had many friends.
