Henry Stocks was born Aug 17, 1821 in Ripley, Derbyshire, England to willaim Stocks and mary Ann Radford stocks of England. Henry Stocks Married Mary Halley on July 21 1843 in St Elphin's Warrignton, Lancashire, England. To there Union was 10 children, of whome only 6 reached maturity.

In Feb 1855 Henry, Mary and there children crossed the plains on the "Milo Andrus Company".On October 24, 1855 the family arrived in Salt Lake Valley. The winter fallowing there arrival was hard, and some of the children had to go to work to help provide food for the family.
The chuch advised them to move to Manti when Henry Stocks became ill, From there, they were sent to Kanab, but were forced by Indiansinthe area to leave, Finaly, they arrived in Rockville where Mr. Stocks' health failed.
Henry Died at the age of 51 on Apri l13, 1873 in Salt Lake City, SLK, Utah.
