COMMON COUNCIL OFFICIAL JOURNAL
RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the Community of Manitowoc was shocked to learn of the sudden passing of one of our most esteemed citizens, Paul A. Stockmeier, Jr., on the 28th day of August, 1970, and
WHEREAS, the late Mr. Stockmeier was a lifelong resident of the city of Manitowoc and received his education in the public school system of this City, and
WHEREAS, the late Paul Stockmeier served our community for eight years on the Common Council as Alderman from the Third Ward and was in addition President of the Common Council in 19?4 and Chairman of the Public Utilities Committee, and
WHEREAS, among other matters, he was a member of the Manitowoc Public Utilities Commission, the Manitowoc Marine Band, the Manitowoc Musicians Local 195, Manitowoc County Fish and Game Protective Assn., and
WHEREAS, THE LATE Paul Stockmeier, Jr. was a hard worker in his church, a devoted father to his family, a person who could be relied on to do his very best on any task given him, thereby making Mr. Stockmeier a highly respected citizen of our community.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Common Council that we pause in our deliberations to pay our respects to the late Paul Stockmeier, Jr., Past Alderman and Council President from the Third Ward of the City of Manitowoc for his unselfish devotion to the interests of the City during his lifetime.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution be kept in the files of the City Clerk of the City of Manitowoc and that a copy be sent to his family.
