Jack D. Stewart Sr., age 78, of Fond du Lac, died Monday morning, October 24, 2011 at Hospice Home of Hope, Fond du Lac after an extended illness.

He was born June 30, 1933 in the Kiel area, son of the late Alex & Rose (Gagnon) Stewart. Jack attended Kiel schools.

He was formerly married to Carol Mai-Rae.

Jack had been employed at Tecumseh Products, New Holstein for 43 years until his retirement.

He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed riding his Harley's.

Survivors include his son, Jack Stewart Jr (Diane Teskey) of Sheboygan, step grandchildren: Steven Teskey, Florida, Rebecca Teskey, West Allis & her children, Austin, Katelynn & Julia, one sister, Lois Grube, Kiel and his former wife, Carol Banuelos. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Lorraine, June & Ruth and three brothers, Alex, Calvin & Herbie. Funeral services for Jack will be held at 6:00 pm, Friday, October 28, 2011 at Meiselwitz-Vollstedt Funeral Home, 815 6th St., Kiel with Rev. Fred Coleman officiating.

Cremation will follow with burial at the Kiel City Cemetery.
