DEATH TAKES YOUNG WIFE AND MOTHER
Mrs. Sophie Steffen passed away at the family home 1014 South Nineteenth street at an early hour this morning, death being due to blood poisoning. Mrs. Steffen was born in Newton November 17, 1896 making her home there with her parents until the time of her marriage, seven years ago.
Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 1:30 from the home, 1014 South Nineteenth street and 2 o’clock from the German Lutheran church, Corner Eighth and Marshall Streets. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery and Rev. Karl Machmiller will have charge of the services.
Mrs. Steffen is survived by her husband, William Steffen Jr., three daughters, Dorothy 4, Bernice 2, and Elaine 1 year. Christ Duebner, father of Mrs. Steffen who resides at Newton also survives.
