Mrs. C. Steffin (sic), 94, Passes Away At Home of Daughter Here
Mrs. Charles Steffin, 94 years of age, passed away last night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Augusta Dueno, 1025 South Twenty-first street. She has been an invalid for the past five years. She was born in Germany, her maiden name being Augusta Sampe. She was married there to Charles Steffin and they came to America with their children 47 years ago, settling in this city. Mr. Steffin passed away 34 years ago.
Three daughters, Mrs. Augusta Dueno, Mrs. Frank Dueno and Mrs. August Becker, all of this city and one son, William, also of this city, survive. Two brothers, Fred Sampe of Manitowoc Rapids and Charles of this city also survive. There are 12 grand children and 14 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at two o’clock from the German Lutheran church.
