Carol Ann Steffen, 73, passed away November 19, 2013 at Mercy Hospice in Johnston. A Funeral Mass will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, November 23 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in West Des Moines with entombment at Resthaven Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 8:30 a.m. until service time at the church.
Carol was born May 10, 1940 to Harry and Lorene Kennedy in Des Moines. She worked at Des Moines General Hospital in Human Resources. Carol loved spending time with her family and friends.
Carol is survived by her son, Kelly (Janise); granddaughters, Melanie Steffen and Courtney (Gabe) Halsmer; great-granddaughter, Chloe Halsmer; brother, Dennis (Patty) Kennedy; niece, Lori (Chuck) Schmaderer; niece and nephews, Sara, Andrew and Jonathan. She was preceded in death by her parents.
