LESTER STAUSS

Lester Stauss, 62, formerly of 1209 South 15th St., Manitowoc, died Tuesday morning in Manitowoc Health Care Center. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday in First Reformed United Church of Christ, Manitowoc. The Rev. William Schultz will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Stauss was born June 30, 1916 in Manitowoc, son of Lillian Wernecke Stauss and the late William Stauss. He attended Manitowoc schools and was graduated from Lincoln High School in 1934. He was a salesman for many years for Ridge Motor Supply Company until his illness in 1971. Mr. Stauss was a member of First Reformed United Church of Christ, the Men's Brotherhood and served on the (illegible). He was a member of Eagles Aerie 706, the Seagulls and was a deputy sheriff for many years.
Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Lillian Stauss of Manitowoc; two brothers, Leroy and Harvey Stauss of Manitowoc, cousins, nieces and nephews. Friends may call in Jens Funeral home, Manitowoc from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. Thursday and Friday until 11 a.m. and at the church Friday from noon until the time of service. Memorial services will be conducted by the Eagles Aerie 706 at 7 p.m. Thursday.
