Karl Dunham Starkey, 91, of Ravenswood, W.Va., died June 23, 2006, at his home on Hemlock Road in Jackson County.
He was born June 20, 1915, in Jackson County, a son of the late Paul C. and Ethel Dunham Starkey. He was a stationary engineer with Ohio State University Hospital. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Ravenswood for 80 years.
He is survived by a son, Ron Starkey and his wife, Amy, of Ravenswood; two grandchildren, Rhonda Hall and husband, Michael, and Cara Cooper, both of Ravenswood; five great-grandchildren, Deven, Nathan, Jameson, DeShone and Libby; and one sister, Freida Starkey of Ravenswood.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Edith in 1990; and two sisters, Lois Manning and Virginia Smith.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Ravenswood Cemetery, Ravenswood, with the Rev. Jon Villers officiating. There will be no visitation.
Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church in Karl's memory, 215 Ann St., Ravenswood, WV 26164.
Roush Funeral Home, Ravenswood, is in charge of arrangements.
