Brighton - JAMES "HERMAN" SMITH, 80, retired electrician for Chromasco, former Vice Mayor, Alderman for City of Brighton, an Army veteran, and member of Brighton Baptist Church, died July 27, 2007 at his residence. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Saturday, July 28, and funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 29, both to be held at Maley-Yarbrough Chapel. Burial will be in Morrison Cemetery. He leaves his wife, Ora Dell Wright Smith of Brighton; five daughters, Esther Cordle of Camden, Janice Lovett of Eva, Julie Rowand of Munford, Barbara David of Covington, and Tina Erwin of Brighton; two sisters, Sarah Goforth of Brighton and Dorothy Bringle of Covington; one brother, George Smith of Covington; 14 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.
