I A. Sizer of King William State of Virginia, do hereby appoint Thomas Robinson of King William County Va. my true and lawful agent to sign receipts for and receive payment of all moneys due to me by the Engineer Department of the Confederate States for the services of my Negro man Dick as laborer on the defensive works at Yorktown and vicinity for the months of September and October 1861.
Writing my hand and seal at West Point, Va. this 13th day of January 1862.
