Kenneth Miriam Severson, the oldest child of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Severson was born January 17, 1914 in Marshall Township. He passed away suddenly the morning of December 1, 1953, at the farm home west of Adams, at the age of 39 years, 10 months, and 14 days.


He was baptized at the Little Cedar Lutheran Church by Rev. O.C. Myrhe, and was confirmed by Pastor A.J. Brevik on July 15, 1928. He attended the Adams Public Schools and graduated from high school on June 4, 1933. He spent his entire life farming at home.


He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Martin Severson of Adams, 2 sisters; Rosella, Mrs. Kenneth Flaten of Kenyon, and Bertha, Mrs. Laurel Nelson of Austin and 2 brothers; Francis of Brownsdale, and Maurice of Adams; and 6 nephews and 2 nieces.


Funeral services were held on Friday, December 4 from the farm home and from the Little Cedar Lutheran Church, M.L. Witte, pastor. Burial was in the family lot at the Little Cedar Lutheran Cemetery. The ladies of Mission Circle 4 were in charge of the lunch that was served in the church parlors following the burial. Pallbearers were Everett Boe, Melvin Fardahl, Jarphine Hukee, Wilbur Johnson, Paul Knutson, and Clifford Weness.
