Ruth S. Bishopp age 93
Born Feb 16th 1915 in Rome, Georgia, our beloved Mother and Aunt passed away
Thanksgiving, Nov. 27, 2008.
A member of the South Broad Methodist Church, she was raised by her dear Aunts after her mother died. At 18, Ruth joined her dad in Seatte and began her career as a fashion model for Marion Tate runways of their Tea Room and through the pages of their advertising.
She married Lawrence [Lorry] Bishopp Jan. 1, 1944 in King Co., Washington. She brought beauty to all she touched.
A member of the Children's Hospital, a Cub Scout den Mother, and Blue Bird leader who gave of herself always.
Preceded in death by a son, Michael, in 1994 and husband of 58 years, Lorry, in 2002. Then she moved to Olympia to be near her daughter.
Survived by her daughter Mary Bishopp-Woods, son-in-law Robert Woods and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial Service Epiphany Parish, 38th and E. Denny Way on Dec 13th, at 11:00. Interment Acacia. Donations to Alzheimer's Assoc.
