Bert C. Secoy, 77, Columbia Hotel, 1326 7th St., died at 2 p.m. unday, Dec. 29, 1963, after a brief illness.
Born Oct. 31, 1886, in Boone County, son of Mr. and Mr. George Secoy. Lived 35 years in Rockford, coming here from Poplar Grove, Ill. Employed as inspector for National Lock Co. for 25 years, retiring in 1955. Veteran of World War I serving in the Army.
Survivors include: four sisters, Mrs. Ruby Knope and Mrs. Pearl Strong, both of Belvidere, and Mrs. Eva Larson and Mrs. Mabel Frint, both of Rockford, and three brothers, Fred C. Secoy of Cherry Valley, William C. Secoy of Rockford and Kenneth Secoy of Loves Park.
Services at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 2, 1964 in Julian-Poorman Funeral Home. Burial in Lutheran Church.
