Alfred Earl Rutty, 72, a resident of Manitowoc since 1915, died Wednesday
afternoon at __ o'clock at his home, 713 N. Water street, after being ill for
several months.
Mr. Rutty was employed in the mason trades but had not worked for some time
due to failing health.
The body will lie in state after 7:30 o'clock tonight at the Shimek & Schwartz
funeral home where funeral services will be conducted Saturday afternoon at 2
o'clock by the Rev. A. C. Fischer of the First Reformed church. Burial will be
in Evergreen cemetery.
Mr. Rutty was born in Ingham county, Michigan, Oct. 31, 1867, and came to
Manitowoc in August, 1915. In March, 1927, he married Miss Emma Elisabeth
Willoughby of Wiltshire, England. She survives with one daughter, Marie Doreen,
at home; and one sister, Mrs. Ada Eaton of Douglas, Mich.
Mr. Rutty was a member of the old Company E.
