NORMA FLORENCE RUSCH

Norma F. Rusch, 76, 440 E. Reed Ave., Manitowoc, died Tuesday evening, Dec. 17, 2002, at her residence. Norma was born May 6, 1926, in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Frank G. and Irma K. Stoffel Rank. Norma was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School, Class of 1944. On Dec. 3, 1949, she married Vernon O. Rusch in Manitowoc. He preceded her in death Jan. 28, 1968. Norma was a dedicated mother and homemaker, having raised five children following Vernon's death. Survivors include four daughters and three sons-in-law, Bonnie and Virgil Peters, Green Bay; LuRae and Michael Gomm, Germantown; Cindy Rusch, Green Bay; Beverly and Grant Kaufman, Glen Rock, Penn.; a son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Connie Rusch, Manitowoc; nine grandchildren, Rebecca (B.J.) Zabel, Rachel (Steven) Popp, Christopher (Nicole) Peters, Nicole (Aaron) Shafman, Jill (Jeff) Zimdars, Eric Gomm, Mason Kaufman, Tyler Rusch and Kristin Rusch; seven great-grandchildren; three sisters, Betty Humphreys, Two Rivers; Marcella Schettek, Manitowoc; Eunice Cappola, Long Island, N.Y.; four brothers and six sisters-in-law, Donald and Janice Rank, Lewiston, Mich.; Richard and Nancy Rank, New Berlin; Lloyd and Ruth Rank, Oshkosh; Kenneth and Mary Rank, Salem, Ore.; Delrose Rank, Los Angeles; Karen Rank, Manitowoc; and one sister-in-law and three brothers-in-law, Caroline Loos, Pennsylvania; Earl Rusch, Two Rivers; Ervin (Shirley) Rusch, Two Rivers; and Oliver Rusch, Manitowoc; and longtime companion, Feliks Zagorski, Manitowoc. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by a great-granddaughter, Rhyan Popp and two brothers, Clarence and Paul Rank. The family will greet relatives and friends at Holy Innocents Catholic Church, Manitowoc, from 9:30 a.m. Saturday until the time of service. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 21, 2002, at Holy Innocents Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Gerald Foley with burial at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc. The Pfeffer Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
