Elsie Henriette Friederike Sonnenburg-Rusch
Mrs. Elsie F. Rusch, 78, of 925 S. 15th St., Manitowoc, died Monday at Memorial
Hospital, Manitowoc, where she was a patient two weeks.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at First German Evangelical
Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. N. W. Kock will officiate and burial will
be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Rusch, nee Elsie Sonnenburg, was born Oct. 3, 1890, in Town of Newton,
daughter of the late Herman and Berta Ristow Sonnenburg.
She was married to Ernst A. Rusch at Newton July 6, 1911, and the couple moved
to Manitowoc in 1919.
He died Feb. 5, 1958.
Mrs. Rusch belonged to the Ladies Aid Society.
Survivors include two sons, Arlet H. of Manitowoc, and Dr. Kenneth, of Madison;
a daughter, Mrs. Milford Kanter of Manitowoc; three brothers, Walter of
Manitowoc, and Helmuth and Marvin of Rt. 3, Manitowoc; a sister, Mrs. George
Dummer of Manitowoc, and five grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, after 3 p.m. Wednesday
until 11:30 a.m. Thursday and then at the church until time of service.
