William "Bill" Henry Rhan III, 67, of Evansville, passed away Thursday, April 21, 2016, at his home. He was born January 23, 1949, in Lebanon, PA to Florence (Dove) Rhan and the late William Henry Rhan, Jr.
He retired from the US Navy after 26 years of service and was also in the National Guard and Naval Reserves for three and a half years. Bill was first Corpsman in Vietnam and when he retired was a Gas Service Turbine Engine Mechanic. He was awarded the Bronze Star with a Valor V and the Purple Heart, as well as several Vietnam medals. He was a lifetime member of the Hershey Pennsylvania and Pollack Avenue VFW. He loved to hunt, fish, bowl, and shoot pool. He also loved animals, especially his dog, Odin.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Sherry (Patmore) Rhan; daughter, Nora (Quinn) Posey; son, Matthew (Christina) Rhan; grandchildren, Rourick and Pheonix Rhan; mother, Florence; sister, Beverly Schwisher; brother-in-law, Danny Kelley; and nephew, David Zimmerman.

Funeral services will be1:00 PM Monday, April 25, 2016, at Alexander East Chapel. Friends may visit Sunday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
