Vincent Reynolds


Vincent Reynolds died at his home, Fremont, West Nottingham township, Chester County, on Eighth month 24, 1908, in his 88th year. He had not been sick long and was confined to bed about six weeks. His parents were Isarel and Hannah Stubbs Reynolds and he was born near Brick Meeting-house, Cecil County, Md. He was a farmer and tilled industriously the acres that composed his tram whereon he resided for over 60 years. Of the deceased it can be said that he was exemplary and respected by his fellow-men, whom he dealt with justly and considerately. Mr. Reynolds married Lydia, daughter of Joseph and Rebecca Preston deceased near Richardsmere, Md. Mrs. Reynolds passed from this life several years ago. The subject of this obituary is survived by one son and two daughters: W.Preston Reynolds, near Rising Sun, Md; Ilena and Lucretia Reynolds, at home; his surviving sisters are: Mrs. Rachel G. Gatchell, Fulton township, Lancaster county; Mrs. Rebecca D. King, Wilmington; Mrs. Priscilla Pickering Oxford; also four grandchildren: James Reynolds, McSparrau ; Esther Reynolds, Oxford ; Grace Reynolds Fremont ; Mary Reynolds, Lenni. The deceased was a member of the Society of Friends, belonging to East-land Meeting. The funeral will be held at 11 a. m. on Seventh day, Eig kith month 29th. Interment in Eastland Burying Ground.
