He was born in Henry County, VA to the late William Barton Reynolds and Nancy Ann Reynolds.
He was married to Sallie Fannie Wells, who survives.
He was a member of County Line Christian Church, where he served as a trustee and deacon.
Prior to retirement, he operated the J A Reynolds Grocery Store in Callands.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughter Mrs. Jessie R Law of Martinsville, VA and three sons James O Reynolds of Collinsville, VA, Charlie W Reynolds of Hyattsville, MD and Stover J Reynolds of Wilson, NC and 12 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at County Line Christian Church with Reverend Tom Woronowicz and Reverend J D Hunt III officiating.
Burial was in the Church Cemetery.
Scott Funeral Home was in charge of funeral arrangements.
