Arthur Vernon Rex was born Feb 25, 1911, in Randolph, Utah a son of Arthur and Caddie Benson Rex. He lived in Randolph until 1949 when he moved to Cokeville, Wyoming. He returned to Ogden in 1951.
On April 19, 1947 he married Edytha Osborn in Bozeman Montana. He was employed at Utah General Depot. He was a rancher and animal caretaker at Dugway.
He was a member of the LDS Church and Disabled American Veterans, John R. Thomas Jr. Chapter. During World War II he served with the infantry in the African-Italian Theater. He was wounded three times and was a Purple Heart recipient in 1944 and received a Bronze Star Medal.
He died 10 June 1961 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
