Calvin F. Reineking, 74, educator and businessman, died unexpectedly of a cerebra1 hemorrhage Wednesday night at his home, 816 Fourth St., Kiel.
Funera1 services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at the First Presbyterian Church, of which he was a charter member, Rev. Allen L. Bowe officiating. Burial will be in the Rockville Cemetery.
Mr. Reineking, who was born Feb. 29, 1880, in the Town of Herman, Sheboygan County, attended Mission House College at Plymouth and was graduated from Milwaukee Normal School. He taught school for a number of years in the Kiel area.
He was associated with Stoelting Bros. Co. of Kiel for 13 years as a bookkeeper and in addition operated a clothing store in that city. He was employed by the Puetz Motor Co. of Kiel and also was agent for an automobile insurance firm.
Mr. Reineking was superintendent of Church School of the First Presbyterian Church of Kiel for 18 years and clerk of the local school district for 33 years. In 1905 he married the former Hulda Stark of Kiel.
She survives along with three daughters, Miss Luella Reineking of Kiel, Mrs. Ruth Ottensam of Plattevitle, Wis., and Mrs. Marion Capelle of Wichita, Kan.;three sisters, Mrs. Elsa DeVries of Sibley, Iowa, Mrs. Mary Hyenga of Stout, Iowa, and Mrs. Esther VorDerMark of New Bremen, Ohio; a brother, Fred Reineking on the homestead farm in the Town of Herman; and six grandchildren. A daughter,three brothers and a sister preceded him in death.
Friends may call at the Meiselwitz Funeral Home, Kiel, from 3 p.m. Friday to 11 am. Saturday when the casket will be moved to the church where the body will lie in state until the hour of services.
