EDMUND J. REIMERS

Edmund J. Reimers, 85, of 616 Buffalo St., Manitowoc, died Tuesday at Memorial
Hospital, Manitowoc. He had been a patient after suffering a stroke four weeks
ago.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home,
Manitowoc, the Rev. T.F. Uetzmann officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen
cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Reimers was born Nov. 14, 1879, at Two Rivers, son of the late Charles and
Caroline Witt Reimers. He married the former Emelie Schroeter at Manitowoc
Nov. 8, 1902. Mr. Reimers worked for Rahr Malting Co. 46 years and served for
35 years as secretary of Local 297, United Brewery Workers Assn. He retired in
1951. His wife preceded him in death Nov. 26, 1964.
Survivors are a son, Alton, of Tomah and two daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Althea)
Hendrick, of Manitowoc and Mrs. Adalbert (Lillian) Rose, of Seattle, Wash., and
three grandchildren. A sister and a brother preceded him in death.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Thursday.
