ALTON REIMERS

Alton E. Reimers, 74, of Milwaukee died Monday morning, September 23, at
Lakewood Care Center, Milwaukee.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Urbanek and Schlei Pfeffer and
Reinbold Funeral Home, Manitowoc. Rev. Gerald Schrankler will officiate.
Cremation will have taken place with burial at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Reimers was born August 24, 1911, at Manitowoc, son of the late Edmund J.
and Emelia Schroeter Reimers. He grew up in Manitowoc, graduating from
Lincoln High School. He lived in Manitowoc until 1959 and then living in
Milwaukee since that time. Mr. Reimers served in the United States Army
during World War II, serving overseas. He married Ellen Donohue on
September 14, 1946, at Manitowoc. She preceded him in death on April 19,
1985.
Survivors include a twin sister and brother-in-law, Althea and Kenneth
Hendrick of Manitowoc; three nephews, Wayne Hendrick of Two Rivers, Dr.
David Hendrick of St. Paul, Minnesota, and Owen Martin of Bellevue,
Washington. He was preceded in death by a sister, Lillian Rose.
Friends may call at Urbanek and Schlei Pfeffer and Reinbold State Street
Chapel, 12 noon on Thursday to the time of services.
