WILLIAM REIF

Mr. William Reif, 53, died early today at his home here at 1217
Hamilton street after a lingering illness.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. from the Wattawa,
Urbanek and Schlei funeral home, the Rev. Ernest Zoerb of the First
Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
Born Sept. 3, 1889, in this city, Mr. Reif married Miss Hattie Carl
on June 17, 1918, who survives with two sons, John, of Maxwell Field,
Ala., and William Jr., city. Other survivors include his mother, Mrs.
John Reif, city, a brother, Adolph, and two sisters, Mrs. William
Groelle and Mrs. Hugo Rudolph, all of Manitowoc.
Mr. Reif has been employed as a guard at the ship yards. The remains
will lie in state from noon Wednesday until the time of the funeral.
