EDWARD J. REICHERT

Edward J. Reichert, 58, former Manitowoc resident, died Tuesday at his home in
Chicago. In recent years he has operated a restaurant near Cottage Grove avenue
and 63rd street in Chicago. He had been ill only a few days.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. from the Wattawa, Urbanek and
Schlei funeral home. The Reverend Ernest Zoerb will officiate. Burial will be
in Evergreen cemetery.
Mr. Reichert was born in this city in 1884 and when a boy of 16 years took a job
on a sailing vessel out of Manitowoc. He followed the lakes for many years and
married Miss Laura Krause of Two Rivers. Fifteen years ago he located in Chicago
to engage in the restaurant business.
Survivors are the widow: a daughter, Mrs. Marjorie Valois, of Chicago; brother,
George, of this city.
The body will be brought to Manitowoc Thursday and may be viewed after noon on
that day until the hour of the services at the funeral home.
