Della Laree Ray, 92 of Tucson passed away May 18, 2009 in Tucson. Laree was born in Bryce, Arizona on February 13, 1917 to George A. and Almeda Nelson Peck. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and worked as a school bus driver for several years. Laree married John Ray on August 2, 1941 and had two children, Joan and Ron. John passed away in 1998.
Laree is survived by her children Joan (Charles) Patterson, and Ron (Nancy) Ray, grandchildren Kelly (Jeff) Kirwan, Steve (Joncie) Patterson, Brandon Ray, great grandchildren Brianna Kirwan, Lilia Patterson and Wyatt Patterson. She was preceded in death by her parents George A. & Almeda Peck, husband John Ray and 9 brothers and sisters.
Funeral Services will be conducted Monday, May 25, 11 a.m. at the Caldwell Funeral Chapel with a viewing 1 hour prior to the services. Interment will follow in the Bryce Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Caldwell Funeral Chapel.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the Heartland Hospice staff and Tampico House staff for the wonderful care of their mother.
