Saturday morning after a lingering illness at 4067 N. 92nd St., Milwaukee, where
she had been living four years.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church,
Manitowoc. The Rev. W.W. Gieschen will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen
Cemetery.
The former Sophia Waack was born Oct. 23, 1877, in the Town of Newton, daughter
of the late Christian and Johanna Willert Waack. She was married at Manitowoc to
Carl Rambadt Sr., April 29, 1897, and the couple lived in the city until 1920,
moving then to the Town of Liberty to farm until 1934, returning to Manitowoc.
Mr. Rambadt died 14 years ago.
Surviving are three sons, Alfred and Carl Jr., of Manitowoc and Arnold of the
Town of Newton; three daughters, Mrs. Ervin (Ida) Bauer and Mrs. Raymond (Hilda)
Otis of Milwaukee and Mrs. Emil (Esther) Nagel of West Allis; a sister, Mrs.
C.A. Brick of Manitowoc; nine grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Friends may call at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc, after 3 p.m.
Monday until 10:30 a.m. Tuesday and after that hour at the church where the body
will lie in state.
