Richard "Rick" Powalisz, age 51, of 10619 Morgan Road, Cato, died unexpectedly
Friday afternoon, September 24, 1999, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center,
Manitowoc.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 28, 1999, at Reinbold
& Pfeffer Family Funeral Home, Manitowoc. Rev. Bruce Bitter will officiate with
burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
Rick was born November 27, 1947, at Manitowoc, son of Gordon and Lucile Mumpy
Powalisz. He was a 1966 graduate of Lincoln High School and served in the Army
National Guard after high School and was currently the owner of G & P Machine
Company, Manitowoc. On October 20, 1979, he married the former Cindy Sleep in
Livingston, Mont. He was a member of First German Ev. Lutheran Church, Manitowoc,
Trout Unlimited and was an avid outdoorsman which he loved to hunt, fish and spend
time with his dogs.
Survivors include his wife, Cindy, Cato; his parents, Gordon and Lucille, Manitowoc;
one brother and sister-in-law, Roger (Carol) Powalisz, Livingston, Mont.; one niece,
Brook Powalisz, Brattleborugh, Vt.; his special friend, Harvey Petska, Manitowoc;
aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.
Relatives and friends may call at Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home, Manitowoc,
from 5-7 p.m. Monday and on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m.
