Klement Porubcansky, 74, of 721 North Water street, died this morning, following
a brief illness.
He was born in Bohemia in 1876 and in 1901 married Miss Pauline Habrun. They came
to Manitowoc in 1904. In recent years, Mr. Porubcansky was employed by the city
as a bridge tender, retiring in 1949. He was a member of the ZCBU lodge.
Survivors are his wife; three daughters, Mrs. John Poulos, and Mr. Delmar Drumm
of this city, Mrs. H. Carl Bartley of Milwaukee; son, Clement, of this city; sister,
Mrs. Sabina Stefanick of this city; two half brothers, Philip of Francis Creek,
Ferdinand of Chicago; and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Urbanek and Schlei funeral
home, with interment in Evergreen cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after Sunday noon.
