Mrs. Penny Craft Poole, 93 of Uvalda, died Jan., 2010 in the Toombs Nursing Home in Lyons after an extended illness. She was a lifelong resident of Montgomery Co., living in the Uvalda area most of her life. She was a sewing machine operator at Hazlehurst Manufacturing for several years, a homemaker, a member of the Charlotte United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Chester Poole and son Homer Douglas Poole. Mrs. Poole is survived by her son, Joe C. Poole of Uvalda, daughters, Betsy Joyce of Ailey and Mary P. Cason of Uvalda, sister, Beulah Adams of Uvalda, special grandson, Anthony C. Poole of Uvalda, 9 other grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at Charlotte United Methodist Church. Gary Martin, Joe Burke and Rev. Shareon Womack officiated. Interment followed in the Dead River Cemetery.
