Mr. Harvey L. Polivka Sr., age 76,of 1032 N. 12th St., Manitowoc,
died Tuesday, December 26, 1995, at Holy Family Memorial Medical
Center, Manitowoc.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, December 28,
1995, at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home, Manitowoc. Rev. Gerald
Foley will officiate with burial in the Evergreen Cemetery,
Manitowoc.
Harvey was born November 7, 1919, at Polivka's Corners, Wis., son
of the late Adolph and Alice Pech Polivka. He graduated from Lincoln
High School with the class of 1937. After graduation, he worked with
his parents at Polivka's Hall. In 1942 he joined the United States
Army from where he was honorably discharged in 1946. His marriage to
Rose F. Kristinek took place on April 13, 1946, at Temple, Texas.
After their marriage, Harvey and Rose returned to Manitowoc. For the
next 45 years he was employed as a truck driver by Northen Wisconsin
Produce Company and Allied Heat Treating Company. Both Harvey and
Rose enjoyed travelling (sic) to their cottage in Townsend, Wis. At
their cottage they enjoyed many acitivities together, especially
fishing. When in Manitowoc, one of their favorite pastimes was playing
bingo with their friends.
Survivors include his wife, Rose; two children, Rose Marie (Jim) Meyer
and Harvey (Mary) Polivka Jr.; three grandchildren, Michelle, Patricia
and Jonathan Meyer; a cousin, Grace (Harvey) Krish, Manitowoc; other
relatives and friends also survive.
Friends may call at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home on Thursday from
1 p.m. until the time of service.
