MARTINA M. PICKARD

Mrs. Martina Pickard, 81, widow of Philip Pickard, former railroad engineer
and Manitowoc resident, died last night in Memorial hospital, Sheboygan.
For the past 15 years Mrs. Pickard has been residing with her daughter, Miss
Adeline Pickard in Sheboygan.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 9:30 a.m. from the Ballhorn funeral
home in Sheboygan. The body will be brought to Manitowoc after the services
for interment in Evergreen cemetery.
Mrs. Pickard, nee Martina Moe, was born at Nelsonville, Portage county and
was married to Mr. Pickard at Ashland. Mr. Pickard was a locomotive engineer
and they resided at Stevens Point for a number of years and then moved to
Manitowoc, where he was an engineer on the Soo line between here and Neenah.
He died October 2, 1923.
Fifteen years ago, Mrs. Pickard moved to Sheboygan. During her residence here
she was active in the Women’s Benefit association and St. Faiths Guild of St.
James church.
Survivors are three daughters, Miss Adeline Pickard and Mrs. Warren Berry of
Sheboygan, Mrs. Frank Fetzer of Milwaukee; and four grandchildren.
