Received the following email in regard to the tombstone stating that Elizabeth was a Dalton. I reported what was carved in the tombstone, having been only transcribing the cemetery and not genealogical research of the Phillips family. I have removed the content I wrote in the biography and included the links that the information is false. Thank you.

You indicate in the memorial (what is on the tombstone) that Elizabeth Phillips
was the daughter of James Lewis and Adeline Dalton.

Even though it is on the tombstone, this is patently false, part of an elaborate
hoax by her grandson Billy Murl "Dalton" Phillips to prove his relation to the
Dalton Gang.
