Mr. Pentz was a teacher. He received his bachelor of science degree at Ryder College, NJ and a master's degree at the University of Georgia. He taught history for two years in Athens, GA; 10 years at Brooklyn Park High School, Baltimore, MD; and 10 years as associate professor of psychology at what was then Indian River Junior College, Fort Pierce. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force during World War II. Mr. Pentz also was a member of the Church of the Apostle in Lancaster, PA.
Only survivors are two nephews, Donald Pentz of Lancaster, PA and Larry Fuss of Hagarstown, MD.
He was preceded in death by his father, George Washington Pentz, and mother, Clemis Pogue.
SERVICES: A funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Furman Home for Funerals, 59 W Main St., Leola, PA. Interment will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Greencastle, PA.
