VIOLET I. PECH

Violet I. Pech, 79, of 1806 Michigan Ave., Manitowoc, died Saturday, July 28, 1990 at her residence. Funeral services will be 2 pm Tuesday at First Presbyterian Church, Manitowoc. Rev. William Plank will officiate with burial at Evergreen Cemetery.
She was born January 4, 1911 in the Town of Kossuth, daughter of the late Edward and Blanche Tesark Hamernik. She attended schools in Manitowoc. She married Richard J. Pech on September 6, 1932 at Manitowoc. The couple resided in Manitowoc after their marriage. She was employed at Mirro Aluminum company office for many years and was a very active church worker and past deacon of the church. Mrs. Pech was a past member of the Order of Eastern Star of Manitowoc.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and James Marsh of Glen Ellen, California; a brother, Frank Hamernik of Manitowoc; a sister and brother-in-law, Marian and Orville Matte of Manitowoc; nieces and nephews, Jim Matte, Judy Simmer, Jean Duzeski, Debbie Thompson, Charles Rohrer and Jim Rohrer and two godchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1971, a son, Ross C., in 1970 and a sister, Anita Luebke.
Friends may call at First Presbyterian Church from 12 noon on Tuesday until the time of service. There will be no Monday evening visitation at Jens Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church.

Hamernik-Pech Vows Given
…Fall modes were worn at the wedding solemnized aT the First Presbyterian church this morning at 10 o'clock. The wedding was that of Miss Violet Hamernik (sic), daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Hamernik, 1806 Michigan avenue, to Richard Pech, 2828 North 19th street. The service was read by the Rev. C. H. Phipps.A fall suit, antique green in color and brown accessories were worn by the bride, who carried a shower bouquet of Johanna Hill roses. Miss Anita Hamernik, sister of the bride, was bridesmaid, wearing an eel gray suit and accessories to match. She had a corsge of Johanna Hill roses and mixed flowers. Edward Rozum attended the groom as best man.
There was a reception for close friends of the couple at the Hamernik home after the ceremony, and the wedding dinner was served there at noon. Mr. and Mrs. Pech have left on a southern trip for their honeymoon. They will make their home in this city.
The bride was graduated from Lincoln high school in 1929, and the groom is a graduate of the Milwaukee Motor school.
