Emil served his country in the U.S. Navy and the Merchant Marines. He retired from Salt River Project after 11 years of employment. He had a great love for his family, especially his children and grandchildren.
Emil is survived by his wife Patricia of St. Johns; son Emil J. (Kathy) Palensar Jr. of Lakeside; daughter Amy L. Starkel of St. Johns; stepchildren Dana (Pat) Mead, Denise (Brian) DelGrand, Ed Noel and Eric Noel; brothers Eugene Palensar and Fredrick Palensar; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister June Moroz and brother Edward Palensar.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Nov. 7, at Burnham Mortuary of St. Johns. A viewing was held prior to the funeral service. Interment was at the St. Johns Westside Cemetery following the service.
