Ruby Jean Benson Nuchols, age 71, of Maryville, passed away after a lengthy illness on Friday, March 13, 2009. She was preceded in death by her parents, James S. and Blanche Benson; infant sister, Shirley Benson; sister, Lelia Frye; and grandson, Adam Yates. She is survived by Ed Nuchols; daughters, Shirley and Dan Mills; Vicki and Rick Satterfield; Patricia Boling, and Lynda and Dennis Yates; sons, Phil and June Bartlett and Mike Nuchols; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; brothers, Leroy, Johnny, Earl, and Rex Benson; sister, Kaye Helton; and several nieces and nephews. A special thanks to: Dr. Carole Long, the staff on 2 East at Blount Memorial Hospital, and all the loving and caring people at Brakebill Nursing Home in Knoxville. Funeral service will be held at 8:00 PM Monday, March 16, 2009 at Miller Funeral Home, Magnolia Chapel, with Rev. Dean Jennings officiating. Interment service will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday at Grandview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Monday at Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.∼daughter of James Sherl Benson and Blanche Webb.
